Why no drawstring?
Drawstrings are a safety hazard for young children and are banned from some children's garments. The elastic-only waistband is safer and just as comfortable.
What is the growth hem tuck?
The pattern includes a 1.5″ hem allowance. Fold up only 1″ to leave a hidden tuck inside — later you can let it down for another season of wear.
